Team 1718, The Fighting Pi was founded in 2006 in the small, farm-town community of Armada, Michigan. The team realizes that through STEM education programs, we can provide students in all communities with real-life experience in STEM, expanding their concept of future opportunities by building knowledge, confidence, and technology literacy. The Fighting Pi is a proud charter member of The Student Association for STEM Advocacy, attending NAC and participating in the NAC Coordinating Committee for several years. Team 1718 also hosts an annual student-led and organized state-level advocacy conference: The Michigan Advocacy Conference.
