Shruthika Sundar joined FRC Team 5338, ACL RoboLoCo, as a freshman at the Academies of Loudoun in Leesburg, Virginia, and remained an active member of the software subteam throughout high school. During her time on the team, she had the opportunity to attend the World Championships twice and served as Software Lead in her senior year.
Shruthika first attended the National Advocacy Conference (NAC) virtually in 2021, which ignited her passion for advocacy. She then interned with the Student Association for STEM Advocacy (SASA) during the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years, attending NAC again in both 2022 and 2023.
Now a sophomore at Purdue University studying biomedical engineering, Shruthika credits the exceptional opportunities she found in STEM and robotics for shaping her path. She is currently a SASA State Advocacy Coordinator and is passionate about empowering robotics students across the country to advocate for increased STEM funding at the state level.
